"I went to see these frames in Vision Express originally, and instantly fell in love with them. Comfortable, stylish, incredibly light weight, £279... wait, what? Really? OK maybe I'd have to settle for a cheaper pair. I left without buying any, and started searching online and found these guys. I found another 5 companies who sold Oakley frames, and most seemed a similar price, but I wanted them fast so phoned them all. Well, nearly all, some only handled enquiries via email. It turned out that only 2 of the 6 had these frames in stock, and the other company said they would take between 5 to 15 days, and they couldn't give me any estimate at all. This company could at least tell me how long each stage took, and when they should arrive. Now bearing in mind I ordered them on Tuesday morning, they turned up on Friday morning. I was quite impressed with that, so kudos to theinternetopticians.co.uk for excellent service!
Now on to the frames. These are possibly the most comfortable frames I've worn before. Possibly not the lightest as I've had some incredibly thin titanium frames before, but these look a lot more stylish than boring thin metal frames. These are a lot more bold, but also quite refined. I love the option of either plain black temples, or a nice deep red, and if I get bored with those, I can order blue or green as well. They stay on incredibly well, no need for the bunny nose twitch to nudge them back up my nose, and they don't feel tight at all. Oakley make a big song and dance about their unique o-matter and unobtanium used in their frames. While I haven't tested their impact resistance or durability over a long time, I just see them as incredibly well made frames which are very comfortable. And I got them at a great price.
I was quite worried that 1.6 index lenses would stick out at the edges as they seemed quite thick on my old Bench frames, so I went for the 1.67 Crizal Forte, and they fit perfectly within the frame thickness all the way around, so I'm very happy about that. I think 1.6 would have been a bit thick. The anti reflective coating is the best I've used, while the coatings mean that even in the rain, they don't get covered in water. Some rain will stick, but nowhere near as much as usual. And they wipe clean with a smudge free finish very easily.
All in all, I'm incredibly happy with the frames, lenses, and service from this company!"
