This is an Oakley Prescription Sunglass product - Once the order is confirmed the sunglass will be custom built and so we will not be able to cancel, offer an exchange, or refund on the Oakley Prescription Sunglass product. The images are only a representation of the style of the sunglass on offer and does not show true colour options you may have selected.

All lenses are genuine Oakley prescription lenses. They are produced at Oakley's Euro Super Lab in Ireland so we quote 4 - 12 working days to produce them. At the moment they are being completed in just over a week from ordering but be aware they can take longer.
We only supply single vision lenses on our website, we do not supply Varifocal / Progressive lenses or Bifocals.

"The glasses are superb. They were purchased as an alternative to tactical eyeshields with prescription inserts, which can be a bit on the heavy side when used for prolonged periods. They are light and will take a fair bit of abuse. The lenses are without doubt the best I have ever had, I have had black iridium in the past (they just make everything darker), however the VR28's seem to be a better all round lens and can be used well into dusk due to the excellent contrast qualities. The service from Internet opticians was first class with excellent communication, however I would recommend exercising a degree of patience regarding any order as the 7-12 day shipping estimate may not be entirely accurate by a day or two. That said, I can say that I would return to them in the future and would highly recommend them."

"Admittedly I had some concerns about buying prescription sunglasses online. I thought there would be some problem with them and I would then be stuck with them. How wrong I was! Like a kid at Christmas I kept checking online for the dispatched notification. It took around 8 or 9 days I think (though 12 days is quoted). Then they arrived - when I popped out for half hour. Typical isn't it? I then had to suffer another entire day without them in my life. The following morning I was at the post office at 8am and they were straight out of the box and on for the test drive on the way home. My prescription was spot on, and the clarity of the lens is fantastic. I chose the black iridium polarised lens. I find that even when dark and cloudy they are still clear enough to see through, so no switching between glasses when out and about - though you do get some odd looks. That said, when it is bright they act as expected. I opted for the smoke frames which I thought were a dark grey, are actually a tinted see through frame - maybe I missed that somewhere, though they look very nice regardless. I already had a pair of non prescription straight jackets that I brought a few years ago, but as my eyesight has got slightly worse I haven't been able to wear them as much as I'd like. I have a pair of prescription glasses which I got from my local opticians but as there were only two types available I found that neither offered a good look or a good fit. With a little search i found that oakleys did do prescriptions, and then I found this site, which offers the best prices in my opinion. All in all I think that to get a decent pair of sunglasses (in prescription!) it is very much worth every penny. I will be returning to The Internet Opticians in future! For those that haven't tried these glasses before, the straight jacket covers practically the entire eye area so you don't get light coming in. They are a very comfortable but snug fit, which ensures that they hardly move even when bending to look down. You won't be disappointed. (make sure you get the pupillary distance from your opticians to ensure the correct fitnent. Mine wouldn't give it over the phone but a quick visit and you have all the relevant info) "

"I ordered these glasses with clear lenses for the 'geek' look and they didn't disappoint! They are way lighter than they look, and comfy all day. Like all Oakleys that I've owned they are great for sports as they are hard to dislodge once they are comfortably seated on my face. The ordering process was easy and the price was very competitive, my only slight complaint is the speed at which queries are dealt with via email. All in all, I'm a happy customer."

"Great Service - an initial hiccup when ordering as the credit card verification screen didn't like my Chrome browser (completed in IE ok) but Customer Services responded Quickly and efficiently to my email. Delivery took about 10 working days as stated with great communication letting me know went they had been dispatched. The lenses are excellent, really good clarity through all parts of the lens. Not sure how well the transitions works due to a distinct lack of sun at the moment - I can see a slight tint, though they've stayed mostly clear so far, but ideal for the prevailing conditions. "My lenses took a couple of weeks to arrive, but they were well worth the wait. When you're dropping over a hundred quid on lenses, you might as well go the whole hog, so I ordered polarising lenses. Changing the lenses on the frames is a scary moment, the frames flex quite considerably. Hold your breath and give them a good tug. The lens themselves are genuinely excellent. If you're ordering these, you probably already own half jacket frames, so already know what the non-prescription lens quality is like. These are no different, just regular Oakley lenses, made for your vision. Since we've had some serious sunny weather in the uk, these things have hardly been off my face. Glorious."

"I am very happy with my new jawbone sunglasses, I chose the matt black frame with G30 iridium prescription lenses. I needed a good all round lenses for mountain biking and road cycling, the tint is just perfect for both, not too dark for wooded areas and the wrap aroung style of the frames offer great protection. You also get a padded case and a soft pouch which doubles as a lenses cloth. They are expensive but oakleys are the best and will last for years if you take care of them. Wish the sun would shine more...

"...so I can wear my new specs!!. I agree with the other two reviewers. I got prescription these shades prior to a skiing holiday and they worked great. They are too dark to wear for skiing on shady days, but that darkness was my choice. Lovely and crisp images. There's noticeable misting when first putting them on cold - but that's because the wrap-around is very close and I must be gently steaming. Don't wipe them - just wait for it to pass. It was great to get my choice of strength, my prescription and polarisation in the same glasses. Wish I had added the back surface anti-reflection, but reflections are only noticeable in darkened surroundings with bright outside - e.g. in the cable car. Not a problem when out in the sun. I had the same issue as the previous reviewer that I didn't see that a case was included in the basic price - you could make that clearer in the catalogue. But you emailed to check whether I really wanted a second case. So overall, the purchase process was reassuring, with double-check of prescription and accessories. Bulky when folded - unsuitable for pocketing, but I guess that comes with them being robust and relatively large frames to fit my head. Very pleased overall."

"the site quotes 10-12 working days + shipping for delivery I recieved them in 10 days - excelent service. i would definitley buy again. Review of the product - Oakley Jawbone (Atomic Orange with Fire Iridium RX lenses). Very cool looking sunglasses not quite as orange as in the pictures but not a problem, the fire iridium lenses go well with the frames. The glasses came with a Jawbone microfibre bag for storage and cleaning, a spare set of nose pieces, and a semi-rigid padded case that has cut-outs in for the glasses and 2 sets of replacement lenses. The only thing that is different with the RX version of Jawbone is that it doesn't come with a spare set of lenses like the normal ones. The glasses are very comfortable to wear and the lenses wrap right round so even your peripheral vision has rx lens coverage. overall I'm very please with these and I'd recommend buying from this site again the service was great as was the price, in a certain large high street chain (V****n E*****s) these glasses are £180 then they charge you £160 for prescription lenses bring the total to £340!!"

Straight Jacket is secure

"I bought these for eye protection, I had had one too many near misses whilst cycling in the woods. Ordinary specs do not prevent vegetation from making contact with the eye area, the Straight Jacket does. It completely covers the eye area and fits closely to the face, sitting securely on the bone around your eye socket. This prevents anything dangerous poking you in the eye. The clarity of the lens is first class and the transition works as well as expected (I have been wearing transitions lenses for 30 years). The frame iscomfortable and sits well on the face. It does not move despite all the vibration incurred by cycling at speed over bumpy trails. The side arms do not obstruct my cycle helmet and the helmet does not hold the frame in place; that is entirely down to the rubber -ike inserts in the side arms and the nose piece. If you work up a sweat on a cool day and then stop, the lens mist up on the inside, but this disperses quickly if you pull the frame away from the face slightly. The only thing I was disappointed with was how thick the lenses are. I am slightly short sighted and the thickness produces white rings around the periphery of the lens and make my eyes look a bit small. But these are meant to be providing safety for my eyes against impact, so a bit of thickness is to be expected. The Oakleys came in a drawstring bag that are for wiping the lens clean. The bagged specs fit inside a robust zipped case, very nice. If it wasn't for the \"bottom of a jam jar\" effect, I would have given these five stars."

"I was really please with how quickly my new prescription glasses came. It only took 8 working days from when I ordered online to them being delivered to my door. The quality of these Oakley Lenses is second to none. I ordered a pair of the fishing specific VR28 polarised lenses and they really help when looking through the water. Good underwater vision can make the difference between \"baggin' up\" and sitting on the bank like a total blanker. If anyone from the UK is looking for a good fishing lens I highly recommend the VR28 polarised lens for our weather conditions. If you live somewhere where you might actually have some danger of the sun coming out you’d probably be better with the shallow blue lenses though. "
