"Buying a set of Oakley ski goggles represented great value when purchased from the Internet opticians, jet black frames and an iridium fire lens on the Oakley store was over £130, however when bought from Internet opticians is much cheaper if bought as persimmon lens in jet black frame with fire iridium as spare. Even with express postage it came to £123.51, a massive saving in my opinion!!! So to the goggles then: Frame: excellent fit across the front of the face, and most importantly does not restrict breathing through the nose. They are a little bulky though and make accessing your chest pockets of you ski suit impossible without removal as you can't see what you are doing!!! Also whoever said that it makes lens changes really easy was lying, it was a royal pain - but worth it. Strap: snug fit and handy non slip style for helmet wearers. Persimmon Lens: Great all rounder, performs well in bright light but was outstanding in flat light and towards the end of the day, provided great definition and perspective on and off the piste! As expected the optics were superb and undistorted. Fire Iridium Lens: not a great all rounder. It looks really cool and as such is probably worth suffering a little - especially for photos. However, even as a relatively new skier (12 weeks or so) I noticed a remarkable difference between this and the persimmon lens. Great for blue skies and bright light, when the light gets poor- switch to persimmon. General points Spare lenses: please can they include a spare microfibre bag?
